Call me blonder than I pay to be. I've been writing for awhile and I had no idea there is only supposed to be one space between sentences.
Diane Krause, an editor pointed this out to me last week. Back in the day when everyone used typewriters, two spaces between sentences was needed for formatting reasons. Today, it’s not necessary. Diane goes into more detail on her blog post (see link below).
I spent several hours last Saturday going through my draft and eliminating all those pesky spaces. Sheesh.
For other tips on how writers can look super savvy, check out Diane’s blog Check out her blog here
Also…..some link love for fiction writers Joanna Penn who writes fiction and advice on changing careers and going from novel wannabe to writer as a career. She has one of the top blogs for fiction writers and self-published authors. You can find her on The Creative Penn
Aspiring food writers- sign up for the quarterly e-newsletter from Will Work for Food author and food writer Dianne Jacob. Her blog is a must read for anyone interested in the food scene, food writing, cookbook authoring, recipe development, etc. While the e-newsletter comes out infrequently it is worth its weight in gold. I keep it around for reference and review. You can learn more about Diane on her website Will Write for Food
And a link for The Suitcase Entrepreneur.
Natalie is traveling the world and running her business from her laptop and suitcase.
It’s not what we all want to do but if you have a bit of wanderlust and want to see if it really is possible to travel and build a business, Natalie’s website, blog and podcast are a must see.
And, for extra fun check out Natalie’s Pinterest page. Lots of motivation.
So…this isn’t quite my normal Monday Motivation style BUT I’m working on a post series I think you will like about living the adventurous life!
PLUS....Summer of the Launch is coming. Interested in going through a kick-it-into-high-gear, let’s do this intense but very fun ground work to launch or accelerate your creative itty biz into high gear?
Keep your eyes peeled for the days to come. Starting July 4th, I’ll be launching the first ever Launch Your Creative Life summer course. Of course this would have to be the first summer course since LYCL didn't start until August of last year (womp, womp, womp)
More information to come so stay tuned……
